It has been reported that there has been a robbery onboard an Indonesian-flagged container ship whilst underway in the Eastbound Lane of the Traffic Separation Scheme, Singapore Strait. When members of the crew were performing duties in the engine room, four perpetrators armed with knives, ropes, and gun-like objects gained access and tied up two of the crew. The Captain reported that no crew sustained injuries, and a number of engine parts had been stolen.
