It has been reported that there has been a robbery on a barge being towed by a Malaysian-flagged tug in the South China Sea, approximately 15nm Southeast of Desaru, Malaysia. The Master observed two small boats with a number of perpetrators onboard, alongside the barge. The Master confirmed that all crew are reported safe and a quantity of scrap metal had been stolen. The vessel did not require any assistance and continued to Port Klang, Malaysia.
