The UKMTO has received reports from several vessels that have experienced GPS interference in the Strait of Hormuz. The disruptions have lasted for several hours and have affected navigation systems, requiring vessels to rely on contingency methods. UPDATE 1: As of 22:00 UTC 14th March 2025, the UKMTO has received further corroborating reports from vessels experiencing GPS interference in the Strait of Hormuz. The disruptions are still reported as lasting for several hours. Masters who experience disruption to electronic navigation systems (GPS / AIS / Other PNT) anywhere within the UKMTO Voluntary Reporting Area (VRA) are requested to contact UKMTO watchkeepers. UPDATE 2: As of 08:00 UTC 04th April 2025, the UKMTO has received further corroborating reports from vessels experiencing GPS interference in the Strait of Hormuz. The disruptions are still reported as lasting for several hours. Masters who experience disruption to electronic navigation systems (GPS / AIS / Other PNT) anywhere within the UKMTO Voluntary Reporting Area (VRA) are requested to contact UKMTO watchkeepers.
