It has been reported that a robbery occurred on a Panama-flagged bulk carrier whilst underway in the Phillip Channel, Singapore Strait. Duty crew encountered seven robbers armed with a pistol and knives in the engine room. After threatening one crew member, the robbers stole spare parts before making their escape. One crew member sustained minor injuries during the encounter. The ship is continuing to her next port of call.
