| It has been reported that a robbery has occurred onboard a bulk carrier whilst anchored at Payra Outer Anchorage, Bangladesh. Eight robbers, in a wooden boat, armed with knives and steel bars boarded the vessel using hooks attached to ropes. The perpetrators overpowered the duty crew member, tied him up then broke into the forecastle and paint lockers. Another duty crew member spotted the perpetrators and raised the alarm, causing the crew to muster and the perpetrators to escape with the ship's property and stores. The port and authorities were notified. | |||||
