It has been reported that a robbery occurred on a Panama-flagged bulk carrier whilst underway in the Phillip Channel, Singapore Strait. Duty crew spotted six robbers armed with knives in the engine room, which resulted in the perpetrators escaping with some engine spares. The crew are reported safe, the vessel did not require any assistance and continued to its next port of call in Malaysia.
