It has been reported that an attempted robbery has occurred on a Marshall Islands-flagged bulk carrier whilst underway in the Phillip Channel, Singapore Strait. The duty crew spotted six perpetrators with knives in the steering gear room. The alarm was raised and the perpetrators escaped. Following a search of the vessel, the Master reported that no items were stolen and that the crew are safe. The vessel is continuing to her next port of call.
