It has been reported that a Chinese flagged bulk carrier was approached by 5 small craft whilst underway approximately 48 nm South of Aden (exact location not specified). One of the craft approached within 3 cables of the merchant vessel at which point the armed security team fired warning shots; after which the small craft left the vicinity. Master reports that vessel and crew are safe.
