It has been reported that there has been an attempted robbery onboard a Marshall Islands-flagged bulk carrier while underway in the Phillip Channel, Singapore Strait. Duty crew spotted five perpetrators in the engine room, one was in possession of a suspected firearm. The Master informed that all crew are safe, and nothing was reported stolen. The vessel did not require any assistance and continued her transit to the next port of call.
