The UKMTO have been informed by a Company Security Officer that a vessel has been attacked approximately 130nm East of Aden, Yemen (exact position not specified). The authorities are currently investigating. UPDATE: Clearwater have received confirmation that the vessel involved was the same Liberia-Flagged container ship that was attacked on 3rd August 2024 and reported in CW Alert 001- (Aug 24). Initial reports state that at 1700 UTC a missile splashed in the water 50 metres from the vessel's bow. A second attack was also reported at 1830 UTC where it was reported a missile splashed to the vessel's stern, however only the noise was heard as the vessel was sailing in darkness. The vessel has not been hit or sustained any damage. The vessel and crew are reported safe and are proceeding to the next port of call.
