It has been reported that an attempted robbery has occurred on an anchored Danish-flagged LPG Tanker while anchored at Cartagena inner anchorage, Colombia. Duty crew heard noises near the forecastle and investigated. Four perpetrators were observed in a boat near the anchor chain, with one person in the hawsepipe attempting to board the vessel. The Officer on watch was alerted and the fire pumps were activated. Seeing the crew alertness, the robbers escaped. The incident was reported to the port control and the local coast guards investigated the area.
