It has been reported to the UKMTO that a vessel has been attacked 40nm South of Mocha, Yemen (exact position not specified). The authorities are investigating. UPDATE 1: Clearwater have received further information that an explosion occurred in close proximity of the portside of a Liberia-flagged crude oil tanker. The cause of the explosion has not yet been confirmed. UPDATE 2: The Master has confirmed to the UKMTO that the vessel and crew are reported safe. The vessel is proceeding to its next port of call. UPDATE 3: The JMIC have confirmed that a missile exploded approximately 600 m from the vessel and no damage was sustained by the tanker. The vessel is now heading to Djibouti to disembark a crew member for an unrelated medical reason.
