It has been reported by the UKMTO that a vessel has been attacked 65nm West of Hodeidah, Yemen (exact position not specified). The authorities are investigating. UPDATE 1: The Master of the vessel has reported that an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle hit the vessel resulting in minor damage. The crew are reported safe and the vessel is proceeding to its next port of call. UPDATE 2: Further information has been provided confirming that the vessel involved was the same Liberia-flagged bulk carrier that had reported explosions in close proximity whilst underway 126nm East of Aden on 21st June 2024 and as reported in CW Alert 020- (Jun 24). It is also reported that the bulk carrier was hit on the portside accommodation ladder causing damage to the bridge and minor injuries to several members of the crew.
