The Master of a vessel reported to the UKMTO that it was attacked whilst underway approximately 126nm East of Aden, Yemen. Clearwater have also received information that the vessel was a Liberia-flagged bulk carrier. An airborne projectile hit the vessel on the port side, causing minor damage. No casualties have been reported. UPDATE: Further information has been provided to the UKMTO from the Captain confirming that the projectile did not hit the bulk carrier, a total of three projectiles exploded in close proximity, and no damage has been sustained to the vessel.
