The UKMTO have been informed by a Company Security Officer that a Panama-flagged general cargo vessel has been boarded by a number of unauthorised persons, from two small craft approximately 420nm Southeast of Merca, Somalia. Vessels are advised to transit with caution and report any suspicious activity to UKMTO. UPDATE: The Company Security Officer has informed the UKMTO that the unauthorised boarders have departed the vessel, and all crew are safe. Clearwater has also received further information that the crew retreated to the Citadel and that an EUNAVFOR military vessel attended the incident and reported that the offenders were not on board.
