| It has been reported that there has been a robbery onboard a barge while under tow by a tug in the vicinity of Tanjung Balai Karimun, Indonesia (exact position and time not specified). The First Fleet Quick Response Team, Indonesian Navy, responded to reports of ongoing robberies and suspicious behaviour in the area. After identifying the vessel involved and undergoing surveillance, they successfully apprehended four perpetrators armed with hacksaws, machetes, and hammers. Items of ships stores have been recovered, and the robbers and evidence have been brought back to Tanjung Balai Karimun Naval base for further investigation. | |||||
