The UKMTO have issued a late report categorising it as an attack. The report states that an explosion and a flash were sighted 40nm West of Hodeidah, Yemen adding that vessels and crew in the vicinity are reported safe. However, there has been no mention of a specific vessel being targeted. Clearwater will upgrade this alert if confirmed information is received. Vessels are advised to transit with caution and report any suspicious activity to UKMTO.
