It has been reported that a vessel was attacked whilst underway approximately 13nm Southwest of Dhubab, Yemen. Three small boats reportedly fired two projectiles at the vessel's port quarter from 1nm away which missed and a Unmanned Aerial Vehicle was spotted passing over the vessel from the starboard side to the port side. The three craft then ran a parallel course on the vessel's starboard side. At 22:45 UTC the vessel reported that the three small craft had fired twice on a different vessel, and then headed back towards Yemen. Neither vessel was hit by any of the projectiles fired from the small boats. UPDATE: Further information has been received confirming that the vessel involved was a Singapore-flagged bulk carrier. |
