The UKMTO have reported that an incident has occurred 50nm West of Hodeidah, Yemen (exact location not specified).The authorities are currently investigating. UPDATE 1: The UKMTO received multiple reports of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle activity. No injuries or damage have been reported and coalition forces have responded. UPDATE 2: U.S. Central Command have confirmed that the incident was a complex incident of one-way attack Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (OWA UAV's), an anti-ship ballistic missile and anti-ship cruise missiles launched from Houthi controlled territory and directed towards international shipping lanes. Eighteen Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, two cruise missiles and one ballistic missile were shot down by a combination of F/A 18 fighters from the Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group, the USS Gravely, USS Laboon, USS Mason and the HMS Diamond. |
