| It has been reported by the Master of a tanker that an attempted robbery occurred whilst anchored at Luanda anchorage, Angola. Five robbers were able to board the tanker from a small boat and overpowered a duty crew member, knocking them over. The robbers then started to unfasten the mooring ropes, however the duty crew member was able to raise the alarm. The crew mustered inside the accommodation and the perpetrators escaped in the small boat after retrieving the mooring ropes from the water. The vessel and crew are reported as safe, and the duty crew member did not sustain any injuries. The incident was reported to the Port authorities. | |||||
