It has been reported that shipping operations have been suspended following an attack on the Kerch bridge that links Crimea to mainland Russia (the exact time of the incident has not been specified). Several explosions were reported that resulted in a partial collapse of the road section with splits in other sections and exposing the load bearing metal rods. Currently no vessels have sailed under the bridge either towards or from the Kerch Strait, since the incident. Clearwater will continue to investigate this incident and will provide an update once shipping operations have resumed. UPDATE: AIS data has confirmed that both a Russian-Flagged cargo vessel and tanker have navigated under the bridge into the Sea of Azov. |
