The JCC in Turkey has suspended voyaging within the Maritime Humanitarian Corridor in the Black Sea. An email and telephone call provided to Masters, stated that the suspension was due to a loss of GPS signal in the Southern part of the corridor (the exact coordinates have not been specified). This means that vessels will be unable to meet the reporting requirements for the Black Sea Grain Initiative, as well as safe navigation within the corridor. Vessels that had already entered the corridor were instructed to return to the Northern and Southern Wait Area Anchorages. The JCC will provide further instructions once they have confirmed the situation has been resolved. UPDATE: Clearwater can confirm that vessels have recommenced voyages within the Maritime Humanitarian Corridor as of 10th March 2023. |
