It has been reported that a robbery occurred on a Marshall Islands flagged bulk carrier, while underway in Eastbound Lane of the Traffic Separation Scheme in the vicinity of Phillip Channel, Singapore Straits. The Master reported to the Port Operations Control Centre that three robbers boarded the vessel armed with knives, restrained the 2nd Engineer, and were able to steal a portable phone and some generator parts before escaping. The Engineer was released by the Chef Engineer and did not receive any injuries. The crew were reported safe, the vessel did not require assistance and continued on her passage to Singapore. |
