| It has been reported that an attempted robbery occurred on a bulk carrier whilst underway in the Eastbound lane of the Traffic Separation Scheme, Singapore Straits. The master requested assistance from local authorities, after two robbers were spotted onboard the bulk carrier and duty crew were able to lock them in the steering gear room. The master then reported a few minutes later that the perpetrators had managed to escape and that the vessel no longer required assistance. | |||||
