The MDAT-GoG has released a notice stating that they are aware of an increased threat of piracy for the next 48 hours within an area bounded by the following coordinates: A) 05°00.00N 005°00.00E B) 05°00.00N 007°30.00E C) 02°30.00N 007°30.00E D) 02°30.00N 005°00.00E UPDATE: MDAT-GOG has been made aware that the area of increased piracy threat has been expanded to: A) 05°00.00N 005°00.00E B) 05°00.00N 007°30.00E C) 00°00.00N 007°30.00E D) 00°00.00N 005°00.00E They have also recommended that the seafaring community (all Shipping) transiting this area to increase their vigilance and retain an enhanced local surveillance and apply BMP WA procedures. |
